Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist with ARRT (R), BLS, and SCRQSA credentials for a 13-week acute care assignment involving trauma and pediatric populations.
Responsibilities
Work in an acute care hospital setting, including ER, ICU, NICU, PICU, and OR environmentsPatient population includes adult trauma and pediatric patientsDuties include bedside / portable X-ray, trauma imaging, C-arm procedures, and fluoroscopic studies such as barium swallow and esophagramVariable day shifts, 4x10 hours per week, from 9 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PMNo weekend or on-call requirementsFloating to other qualified units or campuses may be required per facility policyEpic EMR is utilized and prior experience is requiredMust be skilled in acute care imaging, trauma imaging, and a variety of fluoroscopic proceduresExpected to adapt to equipment-specific training as neededTwo professional references required for considerationFirst-time travelers will not be consideredAll time-off requests must be submitted with application and are subject to facility approvalFacility may cancel one shift every two weeksTravelers must live more than 100 miles from all Prisma facilities for travel eligibility; 50-99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate under specific circumstancesMust be able to float only to units in which you are already qualified and trainedRequirements
Active ARRT (R), BLS, and SCRQSA license required (license required if applicable)Minimum of 2 years X-ray technologist experience preferred; 1 year accepted if full-time in a Level 1 trauma and Children’s Hospital with OR and fluoroscopic experienceLevel 1 trauma and pediatric hospital experience required for candidates with only 1 year of experienceEpic EMR proficiency with at least 1 year of experienceAbility to perform independently in all aspects of X-ray including acute care and trauma environmentsBenefits
