Responsibilities Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit with 10 labor rooms, 2 ORs, and 3 triage beds Handles average of 100 births per month with approximately 23% c-section rate, including high-risk labor patients Night shifts available in 4x12 hour blocks (16 : 45-05 : 15) On-call required as needed No floating to other units Specialized procedures include c-sections, D&C, and vaginal deliveries Uses suction, cautery, and defibrillator / cardioversion (DC) machine Epic EMR experience preferred Assist in set-up and support in labor rooms, including handling specimens and collaborating with lab and other departments Exceptional customer service and teamwork required with nursing and medical staff Orientation includes completion of onsite educational modules with transcripts recorded First time travelers are accepted No travel pairs or groups allowed Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler No more than 3 days of requested time off will be auto-approved and no time off is allowed during the first week of orientation Requirements Active ID or compact RN license required Current certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) 1-2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required Proficiency in sterilization, aseptic technique, case cart, scrub, c-section and D&C procedures Ability to use computer charting systems effectively Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-639981.
