Construction Superintendent at Berks Construction Group

Join to apply for the Construction Superintendent role at Berks Construction Group. Berks Construction Group is a national general contractor focusing on Retail, Big Box Retail, Restaurants, Medical Offices, Fitness, Health and Wellness, Dental and Urgent Care facilities. Responsibilities include leading field operations, managing schedule, budget, manpower and safety, and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Jointly responsible with the Project Manager for the overall success of the project, meeting schedule, controlling costs, and managing manpower and equipment on assigned projects.
  • Provide hands-on field supervision of all construction operations, directing subcontractors and personnel in planning, scheduling and executing work on time, within budget, and to high workmanship standards.
  • Promote workplace safety, maintain client satisfaction, and act as the on-site leader for project execution from start to close.
  • Maintain or exceed project schedule, produce weekly 2–3 week look-ahead schedules, and coordinate with subs to ensure required equipment and materials are available on site.
  • Review progress, adjust work plans, and address constructability or scope issues in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Lead on-site teams, attend progress and safety meetings, and ensure quality workmanship and compliance with specifications.
  • Create and manage reports such as Daily Job Reports and Incident Reports; maintain site punch lists and redline drawings as needed.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial supervision of ground-up construction and fit-outs for a general contractor.
  • 10+ years reading and interpreting drawings / blueprints.
  • OSHA certifications (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work additional hours to meet business goals.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Windows-based applications; Procore and Excel knowledge a plus.
  • Experience with reading drawings to verify subcontractor work aligns with plans.
