Job Duties
Geisinger is seeking a Pulmonary physician for flex shifts at Geisinger Wyoming Valley and Geisinger Community Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre and Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Job Description :
- Weekend shifts (typically 1 / month) on inpatient consult service
- 8 : 00 am-5 : 00 pm rounding on patients on the pulmonary consultation list
- Plus phone call after hours for sick calls and from the Emergency Department; not frequent but must be within 30 minutes of the hospital
- Typical cases : COPD, exacerbation, pneumonia, pleural effusion, respiratory failure, etc
- Ability to do bronchoscopy and thoracentesis is required
