Base Pay Range : $88,177 - $123,560

The Field Applications Engineer provides technical support to the sales region and helps expedite the sales cycle for more support intensive products; develops strong relationships with distribution and target customers in our East Sales Region. The ideal candidate will be located near Worcester, MA.
This position reports to the Field Applications Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities
Act as the Project Manager for opportunities involving complicated system solutions that mesh Banner platforms with industrial network systemsLead the effort to promote best practices for complex solutions within the Banner sales team and the independent sales rep teamsDevelop reference materials, white papers, and support videos to improve the customer experience and share internallyProvide pre-sale and post-sale technical support for customersBe a resource for the regional Area Sales Managers at user plants and target OEMsDevelop and maintain effective relationships with customers and distributorsAttend sales calls as needed; you’ll also provide selling materials (samples, product information, technical documents, etc.) and presentations for key account and new product opportunitiesDefine, coordinate, and prioritize customer feedback and ideas into engineering requirements for future enhancements, then work closely with the Area Sales Managers and engineering to implement those enhancementsPromote and train on new products to distributors and target customersDevelop methods and best practices for delivering outstanding service to our customersManage internal and external brand communications with distributors and Area Sales ManagersHelp expand our BOM at the customerFile on time, comprehensive trip reports into the SFDC accountReport back on competitive products / applications at customer sitesWhat You Bring to the Table

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field plus 3 years of related experienceIn lieu of a degree, 10 or more years of experience in automation controlsExcellent verbal and written communication skills along with a strong ability to follow up and maintain successful relationshipsProven ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and projectsStrong problem-solving ability with a proven track record of proposing and implementing new solutionsWillingness and ability to travel to customer and distributor locations, up to 25% of the time with overnight staysPreferred
3 years of technical sales experience in the industrial automation sector preferredExperience with sensors, measurement and condition monitoring solutions, remote I / O, lighting applications and / or PLC programming.Experience using and maintaining a CRM preferredSupervisory Responsibilities
