Position Highlights :

  • Role : Travel Nurse RN - LDRP (Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum)
  • Location : Potsdam, NY (Contact for Facility Info)
  • Employment Type : Travel Nursing Contract
  • Contract Length : 13 weeks
  • Shifts Available : Days, Nights, Evenings, Rotating, Flexible
  • Start Date : November 17, 2025 (or ASAP)
  • Weekly Pay Package : $2,650 / week

    • Taxable Income : $1,404 / week

  • Base Hourly Rate : $39 / hour
  • Hours per Week : 36
  • Non-Taxable Income : $1,246 / week (Housing : $770 / week, Meals : $476 / week)

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients in the Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum unit
  • Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients
  • Manage diabetes mellitus, pre-eclampsia / eclampsia, and premature rupture of membranes
  • Utilize external fetal monitoring and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
  • Administer blood, blood products, and medication infusions
  • Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
  • Educate and discharge teaching for parents, newborn assessments, circumcision care
  • Maintain proper isolation precautions and PPE use

    • Requirements :

  • Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience
  • Active New York RN license (must be in hand)
  • Certifications : BLS, NRP (required); ACLS (preferred)
  • Experience with neonates, infants, and adults
  • Skills in labor and delivery, mother / baby, epidural anesthesia, pain management, perineum care, and IV therapy
