Relationship Manager Overview M&G Financial is a locally owned and operated finance firm.
We provide full accounting services, including but not limited to valuations, fractional CFO services, forecasting, month-end closing, bookkeeping, compliance, and other similar finance services. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with a background in finance, accounting, consulting, or wealth management who thrives on building strong relationships and driving new business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in introducing our firm’s services to prospective clients – including private equity funds, CFOs, and growth-stage businesses – while helping expand M&G’s presence in the marketplace.

Duties Identify and pursue new client opportunities via outbound calls, travel, and in-person or virtual networking.
Use defined criteria to vet prospects before introducing them to firm partners.
Develop and deliver tailored presentations to potential clients.
Draft and submit professional proposals that align with client needs.
Present updates and performance metrics during weekly internal sales meetings.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
Keep informed of industry trends, financing options, and competitor activity.
Support marketing efforts by contributing to campaign strategy, content development, and lead generation initiatives.
Represent M&G at industry trade shows, local rotary, and conventions to enhance brand visibility, build relationships, and generate new business leads.
Schedule and manage client engagement events.

Desired Skills Strong background in financial services, including finance, accounting, or wealth management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven track record in consultative sales and relationship-building.
Understanding of business financing options (i.e., bank loans, private equity).
Ability to work independently and consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong presentation, proposal writing, and negotiation skills.
Existing book of business or client network is highly desirable.
Education Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field preferred. 3-5 years of sales experience, ideally in financial services or a related industry.
Prior experience in consulting or with a Big 4 firm is advantageous.
Series 6, 7, 63, and / or 66 certification is desirable.
