Swiss CNC Machinist / Programmer

(Fusion 360 | Star Machines Preferred)

Location : Greenville, SC

Job Type : Full-time | Permanent | On-site

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Swiss CNC Machinist / Programmer experienced in Fusion 360 CAM and Swiss-style CNC lathes , preferably Star machines .

The ideal candidate will be capable of programming from prints , performing setups , and operating independently to produce precision components to exact tolerances. This position offers a clean, modern shop environment , competitive pay , and the opportunity to work on high-precision parts for industries such as medical, aerospace, and defense .

Responsibilities

• Program Swiss CNC machines using Fusion 360 , including toolpath creation and post-processing.
• Set up and operate Star Swiss-type CNC lathes (or similar machines such as Citizen or Tsugami).
• Select tooling, set offsets, and perform complete setups.
• Interpret engineering drawings , GD&T , and part specifications .
• Conduct in-process and first article inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and programming issues to maintain part conformance.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve machining processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
