This is a floating position between Carthage Area Hospital and Claxton Hepburn Medical Center

Carthage Area Hospital (CAH) was established as a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) rural community hospital in 1965.The facility is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital that serves approximately 83,000 residents living in Jefferson, northern Lewis and southern St. Lawrence Counties.

A Polysomnographic Technologist provides sleep disorder assessments, care planning, analyses, and direct delivery of treatment utilizing professional AASM care processes in accordance with licensure and regulatory standards. Prepares patient appropriately and safely for sleep study and monitors patient throughout the study, observing for cardiac rhythm and respiration abnormalities. Reports any information to physician.

Qualifications : NYS licensure as a Respiratory Therapist, or Board Registered Polysomnography and registered with New York State office of professions as an Authorized Polysomnographic Technologist, or a graduate from an education program in polysomnography accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). Must be BLS certified. Must complete Adult Rhythm Learn
