Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Windsor, Vermont (zip 05089) – Vermont nursing jobs

Facility Setting : Acute Med Surg / Telemetry unit

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025 – End : 3 / 16 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour night shifts

Hours per Week : 36-hour guarantee

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1950-$2090

Weekend / Holiday Coverage : Every other weekend and holidays as needed (must work two major holidays)

EMR System : Cerner

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio : 1 : 4 / 5

Average Daily Census : 22 patients

Community : Supportive, friendly hospital environment with access to outdoor activities

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years recent experience as a Med / Surg Telemetry RN or Rehab Registered Nurse

Previous travel nursing experience (at least 3 months)

Charge RN experience required

Active Vermont RN license

ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA)

BSN preferred

Ability to float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg units

Must have own vehicle (no public transportation available)

Local travelers (within 50 miles) are not eligible

Excellent attendance required (strict call-off policy)

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

Coordinate comprehensive nursing care for patients in the Med / Surg Telemetry unit

Serve as backup Charge Nurse as needed

Educate patients and families on care plans and health management

Collaborate with ancillary staff and the healthcare team

Maintain professional nursing standards in a clinical setting

Document patient care using Cerner EMR

Provide leadership and support to nursing team members

Float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg units as required
