CLeSIA SPEECH is seeking a speech pathologist, also known as a speech-language pathologist (SLP), to assess individuals with communication disorders like speech impediments, language difficulties, or swallowing problems, develops personalized treatment plans, and delivers therapy to improve their communication abilities through exercises and education, often collaborating with other healthcare professionals and patient families to achieve optimal results.

Key responsibilities of a speech pathologist include :

• Evaluation and diagnosis : Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the nature and severity of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Treatment plan development : Creating individualized therapy plans based on each patient's specific needs and goals.
• Therapy delivery : Providing direct therapy sessions to patients, including articulation exercises, fluency training, voice therapy, language skills development, and swallowing exercises.
• Patient education : Informing patients and their families about their communication disorders, treatment options, and home practice strategies.
• Collaboration : Working with other healthcare professionals like doctors, teachers, and occupational therapists to coordinate patient care.
• Recordkeeping : Maintaining detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and therapy sessions.

Work setting for speech pathologists is private practice.  Occassion remote work may be required.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification, and State licensure.
