Position Overview

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team at the Hospital. This is a full-time night shift position for skilled RNs with a strong background in Labor & Delivery. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care to mothers and newborns during one of the most critical moments of their lives.

Must-Have Qualifications

Active RN License in Texas OR active multi-state compact RN license (must be clear of stipulations or disciplinary actions).

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (ADN or new graduates will not be considered).

Minimum of 3–5 years of acute care experience in Labor & Delivery .

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Extended Women’s Services RN experience (Postpartum, NICU, or OB Triage) is a plus.

Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, newborns, and families in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit.

Monitor maternal and fetal health status, interpret assessments, and respond promptly to clinical changes.

Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, high-risk pregnancies, and obstetric emergencies .

Administer medications, IV therapies, and epidural support under physician guidance.

Collaborate with OB / GYNs, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and evidence-based nursing practices .
