Job Purpose and Summary
The Field Engineer supports the Superintendent and Project Manager in the oversight of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to the quality standards. The role involves assisting in the coordination of on-site activities, management of subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project documents. The Field Engineer is responsible for maintaining consistency, quality assurance, and efficiency by adhering to standardized guidelines and facilitating continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership and Coordination : Assist the Superintendent and Project Manager with project execution and ensure accountability amongst trade partners.
- Safety and Quality Management : Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality expectations.
- Scheduling and Budgeting : Assist in the development and management of project schedules.
- Production Tracking and Reporting : Support project productivity tracking to optimize performance and meet project goals.
- Measure and Pay : Ensure the accurate tracking and reporting of work completed for billing and payments.
- Material Management and Inventory Control : Assist in the management of project material logistics and ensure availability of resources.
- Ticket Tracking and Organization : Maintain accurate records for all site deliveries, work activities, and equipment usage.
- Subcontractor and Stakeholder Management : Assist in the oversight of subcontractor performance and stakeholder communication.
- Proactive Planning : Participate in preplanning and preconstruction efforts with the Superintendent and Project Management Team.
- Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Duties : Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly duties in a timely manner.
Qualifications
1-3 years of experience working in construction preferred.Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Skilled in problem solving and decision making.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Experience in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite preferred but not required.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Work Environment
Hours are typically Monday-Friday 7am-5pm. Office and field work required, with onsite daily and occasional meetings and trainings off site.
Compensation and Benefits
