Director of Pharmacy
Position : Full-Time
Location : Oakland, CA
Salary : $187,000 – $210,000 per year
Schedule : Monday–Friday, 9 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM
Job Summary :
Our community health clinic in Oakland is seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy to oversee daily operations and guide our onsite pharmacy team. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of pharmacy services that directly support the health and well-being of our local patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and evaluate all pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance and service quality
- Develop and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal laws
- Supervise, train, and evaluate pharmacy staff to promote continuous professional growth
- Manage departmental budgets, contracts, and grants to support cost-effective operations
- Oversee medication procurement, storage, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals and controlled substances
- Serve as a consultant to clinical providers on medication therapy, formulary updates, and safety protocols
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and organizational ethics policies
- Represent the department in leadership meetings and professional forums
