Overview
Building Automation Systems Specialist at Siemens. Our Smart Buildings help create efficient, safe, adaptable environments. The Systems Specialists participate in the installation, startup, and commissioning of building automation system equipment, verify the system database and programming, and ensure consistency with the scope of work and sequence of operations. You will interact with customers to help save energy and money and contribute to a sustainable future.

Responsibilities
- Commission new distributed digital control systems on construction sites within planned timelines. Document commissioning details; communicate deficiencies and progress.
- Plan work with the Lead Technician and Team Leader.
- Network technologies : assist with data back-up from data servers and create automated backup procedures. Support troubleshooting and resolution of inconsistencies in functions or sequence of operations. Set up and configure PC workstations and user interfaces.
- Support the confirmation of proper network performance.
- Operational testing, verification, and acceptance : run routine reports to review system operation. Participate in final inspection and testing. Support customer acceptance. Assist with customer training on system operations.
- Complete and submit routine written reports. Provide plans and control system documents to engineering for as-built drawings.
- Project site communication and coordination : may support others in scheduling trade contractors to coordinate startup services. Submit accurate time and expense reports.
- Work overtime when needed (compressed schedule may require extended hours).
- Be available for on-call rotations and occasional overnight travel.
- Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures. Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to customers.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications :
1+ years of experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipmentElectro-mechanical experience and user PC / software skillsOn-the-job experience reading, understanding, and interpreting design and construction documentsAbility to work in various environments, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in different conditionsAbility to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; ability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassistedExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Willingness to work overtime as neededMust be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violationsLegally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications :
High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate or Bachelor's degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or related fieldAbout Siemens
