Summary of the position
The Sr. Supply Chain Manager implements a strategy to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. The Sr. Supply Chain Manager coordinates the flow of goods and information from origin to consumption, focusing on efficiency, cost, and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include managing planning, procurement, inventory, and distribution, as well as resolving bottlenecks and monitoring suppliers.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Procurement
- Manages procurement of raw materials and components per supplier agreements and chemical production site arrangements, respecting stock policy and minimizing waste, in cooperation with Group Purchasing. Consults direct and / or functional hierarchy for high-impact stock / service / destruction issues
Planning
Build the Master Production Schedule – MPS to plan production activities, ensuring optimal customer service within stock policy and industrial constraints.Provides visibility to production sectors to anticipate organizational changes needed to meet demandLeads regular MPS meetings and follows up on related topicsAnimate monthly IBP (integrated business planning) meetingInterfaces with central Supply Chain functions to optimize processes (forecasting, net requirements, MPS, technical data, packaging)Consults direct and / or functional hierarchy for high-impact stock / service / destruction issues
Scheduling
Ensures proper scheduling of production operations, with daily operational monitoring to anticipate and respond to disruptions (supply / quality / capacity). Maintains daily flow rituals with all departmentsWarehousing
Supervises the warehouse team and ensures optimal physical flow operations and proper maintenance of related facilitiesInterfaces with HSE team for safety and authorizationsSafety
Ensures the safety of their department by enforcing safety rules, identifying any risks to personnel, participating in safety inspections, proposing corrective actions when necessary, and ensuring their proper implementation. Prioritizes safety in daily operations on siteResponsible for creating and updating the risk assessment document for their area and promoting improvements in safety and working conditionsHSE coordinator validation required for rule changesRegulatory Compliance and Quality
Ensure operations comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and procedures. Defines and implements best practices, self-inspections, required GMP training for staff, and investigates and implements corrective actions after Quality Assurance validation.In case of deviations actions must be validated by Quality AssuranceTeam Management
