Plumber Helper / Laborer

We are seeking a dedicated Plumber Helper / Laborer to assist in commercial job sites. This role involves working at various locations including VA Tech and downtown Pulaski, supporting our plumbing and construction projects.

Responsibilities

Assist plumbers with installations and repairs on commercial job sites. Work with sheet metal, HVAC systems, and piping installations. Interpret and work from blueprints and construction plans. Perform general labor tasks as needed in support of plumbing projects. Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Contribute to duct installation and other mechanical tasks.

Essential Skills

At least 1 year of experience in a commercial construction Plumber Helper position. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience with plumbing, piping, and mechanical installations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of experience in mechanical trades preferred. Strong attendance and reliability. Willingness to work at multiple job sites.

Work Environment

The position operates on a first shift schedule from 7am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. Work involves outdoor tasks in various climate conditions. The pay rate starts at $15 and increases with experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blacksburg, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $19.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
