We are a dynamic, full-service accounting firm seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor to join our team. As a Tax Supervisor, you'll play a pivotal role in the financial heartbeat of our operations, ensuring compliance with tax laws, preparing and reviewing tax returns, and guiding our clients through complex tax issues. You will be working in a collaborative and engaging work environment that values your insights and encourages career advancement. Responsibilities :

As a Tax Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include :

1. Supervising and reviewing the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, benefit funds, real estate, and exempt organizations.

2. Assisting with tax planning and research, keeping up-to-date with changes in tax law and advising clients accordingly.

3. Overseeing the tax process, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

4. Resolving tax notices from IRS or other tax authorities.

5. Providing guidance and supervision to junior tax staff, fostering an environment of learning and growth.

6. Assisting with internal control testing and documentation.

7. Collaborating with team members to provide excellent client service, maintaining and developing strong client relationships.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for the Tax Supervisor position should have the following qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or Master's degree in Taxation is highly preferred.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a concentration in tax (corporate, partnership, individual, estate, & gift).

3. Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, experience with a variety of industries and types of tax returns.

4. Excellent supervisory, organizational, problem solving, and written and oral communication skills.

5. Proficiency in tax software, Excel, Word. Experience with ProSystem fx Tax is a plus.

6. Ability to manage multiple clients, budgets and production goals.

7. Excellent attention to detail and dedication to providing high quality work.

8. A proactive approach to work, the ability to manage and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

9. Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
