We are looking for a skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust security solutions within cloud environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, mitigate vulnerabilities, and enhance overall system security using industry best practices.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement secure cloud architecture designs that adhere to industry standards and organizational requirements.
- Configure and manage tools for security monitoring, compliance tracking, and availability within cloud environments.
- Evaluate and respond to vulnerabilities, applying virtual patching as necessary to maintain system integrity.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security measures across the CI / CD pipeline and DevOps processes.
- Deploy and manage security controls for serverless architectures, ensuring effective protection against threats.
- Perform assessments to detect threats, benchmark compliance, and analyze logs for cloud-hosted applications.
- Configure web application firewalls, content delivery networks, and intrusion monitoring systems to safeguard against cyberattacks.
- Utilize encryption techniques and manage encryption keys, including hardware security modules, to secure sensitive data.
- Implement and maintain container security measures, including orchestration tools and production workloads.
- Provide guidance on secure software development practices and ensure adherence to the software development life cycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience in security engineering, including cloud architecture design.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer are required.
- Advanced knowledge of AWS security services, identity management, and compliance tools.
- Familiarity with DevOps toolsets, CI / CD processes, and techniques to secure and automate deployment pipelines.
- Expertise in vulnerability assessments, threat detection, and compliance benchmarking tools.
- Strong understanding of microservice architecture and security controls for various designs.
- Proficiency in encryption, container security, and cloud-based security solutions.
