Department Information
The Department of Psychology and Criminal Justice includes programs that are designed to produce scientifically analytic, critical thinkers prepared to succeed in meeting the challenges of modern life. We emphasize career preparation in the behavioral sciences through lifelong learning. The Department offers an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, and a Doctorate in Public Safety.
Job Summary
This is a part time position to teach within our Bachelor of Science Criminal Justice program, with a start date for Spring 2026 or Fall 2026. Currently, the program is fully online.
Responsibilities
Teaching CRJU courses as needed.
Possibilities to teach doctoral SFTY courses, consistent with academic credentials.
Actively pursue continuous improvement in teaching.
Actively engage in activities aimed at improving student success in course.
Required Qualifications
Required Educational Qualifications
Minimum of a Master¿s degree from a regionally-accredited university or international equivalent in Criminal Justice (or closely related field).
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Criminal Justice (or related field) preferred.
Preferred Experience
Prior college teaching experience.
Prior online teaching experience.
Other Preferred Qualifications
Record of research/scholarly publications.
