Position Details :
Role : Veterinary Technician
Status : Part-time
Salary : Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule : 1-2 days a week & Saturdays required

Veterinary Technician Responsibilities
Clean and straighten exam rooms to prepare for incoming patients following OSHA guidelinesBe familiar with infectious and common zoonotic diseases; including prevention, and the steps to reduce or eliminate transmissionAssist in restraining pets in a manner that allows necessary procedures to be done with minimal stress to patients, and ensure safety of patients and peopleTake accurate notes and medical history of patients in exam rooms for doctorsAnticipate the needs of the doctor for routine exam / surgery visits; follow doctors request to fill or refill medicationsTake temperatures, samples, vitals as requested by doctor; draw up vaccines, flea / tick medication / prevention, etc.Work our mobile clinic on the weekends where we provide basic vaccine services to the community in a timely fashion.Ability to cross train in other roles / areas to help clinic always run smooth and efficiently.Required Skills & Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience as a veterinary technician requiredExcellent communication skillsPossess a good attitude and contribute to a positive work environmentStrong English - written and verbal language skillsAdvanced animal care, restraints, client / customer interaction experience requiredExperience with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, labwork, radiology, and pharmacology highly preferredSurgery experience preferred but not requiredFinancial Benefits :
