About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP Compliance Manager for Trade Surveillance Initiatives and Portfolio Management, with a focus on electronic communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the compliance surveillance framework, managing large surveillance projects, and ensuring that the surveillance program is robust and aligned with global regulatory expectations. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to drive initiatives in a complex regulatory environment, as well as strong leadership qualities to oversee a team of specialists. Key responsibilities include reporting on the status of surveillance initiatives, managing issues related to surveillance, and working with key stakeholders to develop and implement clear project plans for regulatory initiatives and enhancements.
Candidates for this position should have a JD or MBA degree, with a preference for those with 10+ years of relevant industry and management experience in surveillance, particularly in the area of communications surveillance at a Global Systemically Important Bank (GSIB). The role demands a high level of integrity, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex regulatory remediation, be adept at identifying and mitigating regulatory risks, and have experience in people leadership and talent development. The VP Compliance Manager will also be expected to be a transparent communicator, build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, and contribute to the company's vision of a strong risk and compliance culture.
