Maintenance Technician 1st Shift

Location : Valdosta, Georgia

Schedule : 1st Shift -6 : 00 AM 2 : 30 PM

Reports To : Maintenance Supervisor

Employment Type : Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, mechanical equipment, and systems in a food production facility. This includes motors, pumps, conveyors, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
  • Inspect, adjust, and replace parts using tools and blueprints.
  • Operate tools such as drill press, grinder, and welding equipment.
  • Maintain work area and equipment cleanliness.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Adhere to safety, food safety, and GMP guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 35 years of relevant experience in maintenance or similar role.
  • Welding skills (stainless & aluminum) preferred.
  • Experience with pumps, motors, valves, fans, electrical systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.

    • Compensation : $29.00 - $39.00 per hour
