Job description

Overview

People Partner, Tech (Security, Product Engineering) – based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Support Product and Security teams, including Product Management, Engineering, and Security, working on HR projects with Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, and others. Provide coaching and strategic support to senior leaders and managers across technical functions building Anthropic's AI systems. Help build HR policies and strategies aligned to client needs and act as a trusted leader on employee-related topics.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders across Product Management, Design, Engineering, and Core Tech teams, including senior technical leaders and product executives
  • Provide support to employees and managers on all human resource-related topics throughout their lifecycle in partnership with Benefits, Compensation, and other People team experts
  • Collaborate with management to foster a culture of high performance based on company values and team culture; help ensure performance management and employee relations issues are managed appropriately
  • Partner with specialist teams (Benefits, Compensation, etc.), leadership, and finance to implement scalable programs and policies to attract, retain, and grow talent
  • Work on cross-functional projects with other People Partners and specialist teams to enable and grow our Ants (e.g., manager training)
  • Partner with technical leaders on organizational design, team scaling strategies, and talent development initiatives specific to product and engineering
  • Support career development frameworks and progression paths unique to technical roles

You may be a good fit if you :

  • Have a minimum of 6-10 years experience working in HRBP, People Operations, Employee Relations, Recruiting, or related functions
  • Have experience at a fast-growing tech company in HR, with fluency in employment law and best practices in North America
  • Have worked at a tech company, start-up, or similarly fast-paced environment
  • Have experience partnering with technical organizations and understand the dynamics of product and engineering teams
  • Strong candidates may also :

  • Have experience supporting Product Management, Design, Engineering, or Infrastructure teams
  • Have experience in AI / ML companies or with technically focused teams building cutting-edge products
  • Understand technical career ladders, engineering culture, and scaling challenges
  • Care about supporting a diverse set of people at all levels and helping employees and managers do their best work
  • Have experience providing confidential, practical support and training in topics like conflict resolution
  • Have strong knowledge of HR best practices and can implement them in a culturally appropriate way
  • Be a pragmatic problem-solver, enjoy developing creative solutions, and thrive in building and scaling processes
  • Care about ensuring advanced AI systems are developed safely and have curiosity about AI applications
  • Compensation

    The expected base compensation for this position is below. Our total compensation package includes equity, benefits, and may include incentive compensation.

    $245,000 - $300,000 USD

    Logistics

    Education requirements : We require at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

    Location-based hybrid policy : Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. Some roles may require more time in the office.

    Visa sponsorship : We do sponsor visas. If we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to obtain a visa, with the assistance of an immigration lawyer.
