Licensed Practical Nurse - UICC Johnston Specialty Clinics 80-100%

The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient-centered 80-100% Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in our Johnston Specialty Clinics. Our Licensed Practical Nurses are responsible to help a wide variety of patients from newborn to geriatric, ensure patient care standards are met, and provide access to additional care options. This position is part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment, rich with opportunities for learning and growth. We utilize a multidisciplinary approach to patient care that encourages teamwork between multiple disciplinary teams to provide the most comprehensive care to our patients.

Duties to include :

• Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
• Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
• In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.

Percent of Time : 80-100% (32 - 40 hours per week)

Schedule : Variable hours 8am - 5 : 30pm Monday through Friday; no weekends, no on call, no holidays; must be available Fridays

Pay Grade : 11

Salary : $43,848.32 - $65,332.32 / Hourly : starting at $20.92 (based on years of experience)
