This is a 1099 (independent contractor) PRN position

Locations :

Corpus Christi Region
San Antonio Region

As a Physician, you'll work as part of an integrated health team to provide and ensure continuity of care as you develop and implement patient care management plans.

We are looking for :

an MD / DO degree from an accredited Medical School

board certification or board eligibility in primary specialty

current, active license to practice in Texas

current, unrestricted DEA

What is the work?

Patient Care :

Evaluates patients; obtains / studies medical histories; documents patient and clinic records

Interviews patients; understands patient medical history, assess physical health; examines as needed

Evaluates effectiveness of current care methods and procedures and suggest improvements

Educates / counsels patients; explains treatment plan; promotes physical health and wellness

Orders laboratory and radiology tests; refers patients to specialists as appropriate

Prescribes / administers / dispenses medications and treatment regimens in compliance with state and federal statutes

Discusses potential side effects of medication / treatment; ensures all allergy information is up-to-date

Complies / ensures compliance with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements, and infection control protocols and policies

Maintains professional / technical knowledge; reviews professional journals; establishes personal network; participates in professional associations

Collaborates with clinic staff to recommend / improve patient care practices, and clinic guidelines and workflow

Ensures adherence to HIPAA regulations

What is your background?

MD / DO degree from an accredited medical school

Board Certification or Board Eligibility in primary medical specialty

Current, active license to practice in Texas

Current, unrestricted DEA

Current BLS certification by an approved American Heart Association organization
