Self-Direction DSP - Fulton Area (Job #SC-JC)

Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Fulton, NY with a young male. The DSP will work with young man at his home providing personal care and at times drive the young man to desired activities. The individual is looking for a dedicated staff to assist him with learning safety skills, participating in chosen activities, and socializing in the community. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting with Personal Care, maintaining safeguards to ensure safety, driving individuals to chosen activities, modeling positive behavior and social skills.

This individual is looking for staff to encourage him to explore activities and come out of his shell. He enjoys going to restaurants, parks, light shopping, and going to the different activities in the community.

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior Experience with behavior management is preferred. Reliable transportation and an HS diploma / GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.

Hiring for many shifts with flexibility :

Saturdays and Sundays

5pm - 10pm

One flexible weeknight

2pm - 6pm

There is an ability for more hours once hired on. Back-up staffing needs have been identified! Flexibility to fill-in for other staff is a MAJOR plus. Individuals willing to consider different schedule / shifts for the right applicant. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour. EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
