Job Title : Order Picker

Job Description

We are seeking diligent and detail-oriented individuals to join our Order Processing department as Order Pickers. In this role, you will be responsible for picking orders, packaging, labeling boxes, and loading UPS trucks with packages using a conveyor system. You will utilize a tablet on a cart to efficiently pick and fulfill up to 12 orders simultaneously, with the assistance of an AI-driven inventory system.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders by pushing a cart equipped with a tablet that guides order selection.
• Fill up to 12 totes on the cart, each representing a different order.
• Load totes onto a conveyor that transports them to the packaging area.
• Stand by a conveyor to pack products into boxes with the aid of an automated lighting system that indicates the correct box.
• Assemble boxes, package items, pass them through a tape machine, and label them.
• Load finished packages into UPS trucks as needed.
• Meet a key performance indicator (KPI) of 100 lines per hour.

Work Environment

We have openings on the first, second, and third shifts, with shift hours as follows : 1st shift from 6am-2 : 30pm, 2nd shift from 2pm-10 : 30pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm-6 : 30am. Employees should be comfortable with working 50-58 hours weekly, with optional Saturdays. Our work environment requires long pants or shorts touching the knee, and steel-toed footwear is mandatory. Please note that cell phones or earphones are not permitted on the floor. The packaging area operates with UPS pickups at 9am, 4pm, and 7pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Crystal Lake, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.10 / hr.
