Ancon is on the hunt for a Staff Accountant, to round out our Accounting team. If you are looking to grow your career in accounting-or even to get your foot in the door to begin your career in this department-this may be the opportunity for you! Duties will include administration and support of all day-to-day functions of the Accounting Department.

What's the job all about?
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with financial records, preparing reports, audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Daily bank reconciliations
• Data entry for records integrity
• Daily and Weekly Financial Reports
• Month-end journal entries
• Month-end reporting
• Quarterly sales and use tax return
• Yearly personal property taxes
• Agency audits
• Ad Hoc Financial Reports
Qualifications we are looking for:
• Comfortable using accounting software, Excel and other industry-specific programs
• Previous bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Understanding Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)
• Clear understanding of Debits and Credits
• Proven ability to act as a role model for the organization reflecting professionalism, positivity, and team orientation
• Proven Service-minded approach to delivering Accounting services
• Must pass the pre-employment screening required of this position
