Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Certified School Nurse (CSN) to provide 1 : 1 support for a student in a non-clinical, school-based setting . The ideal candidate will have strong ventilator and tracheostomy experience and a passion for helping children thrive in an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide care for children on ventilators, including understanding ventilator settings, suctioning, bagging, and troubleshooting alarms

Perform tracheostomy care, including changing a trach and using an HME

Manage all medical equipment and connections

Respond effectively in emergency situations

Administer G-tube feedings, including use of enteral pump, prepping feeds, and H2O flush

Perform positioning, transfers, and donning / doffing AFOs

Conduct incontinence management and regular skin checks

Required Skills and Experience :

Certified School Nurse (CSN) with Professional Educator License (PEL) from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)

Experience working with pediatric patients on ventilators

Proficiency in emergency response and equipment management

Strong knowledge of GT feeding, positioning, and mobility assistance
