Robert Half is partnering with a Well-Known Company, and sourcing for an experienced Employment Attorney to provide long-term coverage in a contract / temporary capacity. This role requires deep expertise in U.S. employment law, with a focus on leave of absence policies and compliance across all states.
Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive legal guidance on U.S. employment law matters, including leave of absence policies and compliance.
- Actively participate in weekly meetings with HR, business unit leaders, and the Leave Team to address leave-related issues.
- Draft and review separation agreements to ensure legal accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct in-depth legal research on state-specific leave laws, keeping policies updated with recent regulatory changes across all 50 states.
- Assist with the development and refinement of employment policies to align with current legal standards.
- Offer specialized advice and insights on California employment law and leave policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal implications of employee leave and separation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving employment regulations and trends.
- Provide strategic input on policy frameworks to ensure legal compliance and operational efficiency.
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. employment law, with emphasis on leave of absence regulations.
- Proven experience in conducting legal research and drafting employment-related agreements.
- Familiarity with California employment law is highly preferred.
- Strong ability to interpret and apply state-specific employment regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with HR and business leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and refine employment policies.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership in the United States.
