Position Overview :
As the Business Development Representative (BDR) at JBPro, you will support our Surveying department by generating and qualifying leads. You’ll play a critical role in identifying upcoming projects, initiating outreach to prospective clients, and connecting qualified opportunities to our Survey Project Management team to close.
This position requires a balance of sales acumen and technical understanding while knowing how to identify projects that fit our services, recognize what survey data is required at various development stages, and communicate confidently with developers, engineers, and contractors. Success in this role will be measured by :
- Number of qualified meetings scheduled
- Number of organizations converted to qualified opportunities
- Responsiveness and collaboration with the Surveying team
What You’ll Do :
Prospect and identify potential clients, developers, engineers, contractors and owner-representatives in the land-development / AEC space.Conduct outbound outreach and follow up on inbound leads to build interest in our services.Qualify prospects by assessing their needs, project size, timeline and budget.Enter and maintain accurate data in our CRM system (leads, contacts, status, activities).Collaborate with the Survey team to ensure smooth lead handoff, providing context and documentation of discovery.Track and report on key metrics (number of calls / emails, qualified meetings set, pipeline volume).Provide market feedback to marketing and BD teams : insights on what prospects are saying, trends in land-development, competitive intel.Stay informed about regional market activity (North Florida, municipalities, zoning / permitting timelines) and competitor services.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or built-environment discipline (or equivalent experience).1–3 years of sales prospecting, inside sales or lead generation experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Comfortable doing high-volume outreach and engaging new contacts.Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to track many leads and follow up.Technical aptitude and an interest in the AEC / land-development industry, ability to quickly learn relevant terminology and client types.Self-motivated, resilient, comfortable with rejection and comfortable working in a growth-oriented team.Preferred : Experience in surveying, civil engineering, or working with developer / contractor clients.Benefits
