  • Speech Language Pathologist
  • to join our team in the Kansas City, Missouri area. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Part Time 20-24 Hr / Wk Monday, Wednesday, Friday Schedule\
  • Compensations and Benefits :
  • Sign on bonuses possible with FT positions.

  • Duties :
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
  • Provide therapy services to patients with speech and language difficulties
  • Administer standardized tests and assessments to measure patients' abilities and progress
  • Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
  • Educate patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques
  • Qualifications :
  • Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles and practices
  • Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with hospital or acute care settings is a plus
  • In-depth understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech and swallowing
  • Ability to perform patient assessments using standardized tests and clinical observations
  • Proficient in developing individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students and families
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address complex communication disorders
  • Ability to provide patient-centered care with empathy and compassion
