As a Systems Administrator you will play a key role responsible for managing, maintaining, and configuring the IT systems that power our campus operations. The role involves working with hardware, software, networks, and security to ensure the system remains operational and secure.

Qualifications
A certificate, associate's, or bachelor's degree in information technology (IT), computer science, or a related field preferred. Two+ years of experience in systems administration or a related role. Passion for technology.
Some of the things we want you to do :
- This position requires physical on-site presence.
- Installing and configuring hardware and software, including servers, storage devices, operating systems, and applications.
- Assist with college wide software procurement, installation, configuration, and management. Provide support for end users.
- Managing user accounts and permissions, ensuring data privacy and security.
- Developing and implementing backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Conducting system upgrades and migrations.
- Managing and maintaining servers, storage devices, and other infrastructure components.
- Creating and maintaining documentation, including user manuals and system configuration guides.
- Collaborating with other IT staff to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
- Staying up to date with new technologies and industry trends; and making recommendations for system improvements and upgrades.
- Ability to lift and transport computer equipment such as desktops, monitors, printers, and other hardware (up to 60 lbs.)
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, climbing ladders, or reaching in tight spaces for cable management or hardware installation.
Skills :
Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware.Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).Familiarity with Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM.Scripting skills in languages such as PowerShell and Python.Understanding of the CIS Critical Security Controls (v8.1) and their application in system administration.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ready to Join Us?
