Position Summary :

Alamon, Inc., a Montana-based employee-owned company since 1975, provides installation services to the utilities, energy, and communications industries nationwide. There is no ceiling when it comes to your professional growth at Alamon, an employee – owned company.

Alamon, Inc. seeks a Telecommunication Technician Level 1 for its Network Services (NWS) department.

This position entails : installation and general upkeep of customers' telecommunication systems in a central office setting. The Telecommunication Level 1 Installer must be a self-starter who provides high-quality workmanship and has excellent customer service skills. This position requires extensive travel. (NOTE We will place you with a very experienced team and provide you with on-the-job training)

Job Description :

• Install, maintain, and upgrade telecommunication equipment in a central office setting.
• Respond to service outages and disruptions.
• Assist in upgrading and replacing outdated and malfunctioning equipment.
• Adhere to all government and company safety regulations.
• Perform quality control checks to verify proper functioning of equipment and connections.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work effectively with engineers, technicians, and customers.
• Understand how to use hand tools, test equipment, and possess the ability to use a computer to interface with the customers' products.
• Possess a general understanding of how to read and interpret floor plans, rack drawings, and customer-provided work orders.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities including equipment changes, upgrades and troubleshooting steps.
• Work effectively with technicians, management, and customers.
• Communicate effectively, including proficiency in written and verbal communications, with strong listening skills.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• On the job training is provided.
