Pharmacy Technician / Cashier

Ocean Breeze Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Technician / Cashier to join our team.

The Pharmacy Technician / Cashier is a dynamic role that combines the responsibilities of a pharmacy technician and cashier.

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, efficiently processing financial transactions, and supporting the pharmacy team in various aspects of pharmaceutical operations.   Responsibilities :

• Prepare prescriptions –  Prepare medication, as prescribed by physicians, under the guidance of the acting Pharmacist.
• Under the direction of Pharmacists, remove unneeded or outdated drugs from stock and prepare for return or disposal.
• Order, receive, and maintain the inventory to maintain tight security at all times.
• Customer Service - Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Provide information on pharmacy products, services, and promotions.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.   Cash Handling and Record Keeping -    Maintain the accuracy of financial records, including sales, cash, and credit card transactions.
• Prepare and reconcile daily cash and financial reports.
• Ensure the security and confidentiality of financial information.
• Inventory Management - Assist in monitoring and restocking OTC medication shelves.
• Notify the pharmacy team when stock levels are low.
• Help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Compliance - Adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures, including those related to HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
• Stay updated on changes in pharmacy regulations and contribute to maintaining a compliant environment.
• Team Collaboration - Work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other staff to ensure efficient operations.

Support the pharmacy team during peak hours and assist with customer inquiries.   Qualifications :
