Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Round Rock, TX 78681 (Central Texas, near Austin)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Start Date : November 3, 2025

End Date : February 2, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : Monday – Thursday, 6 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM (10-hour shifts)

Hours per Week : 40

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1860 - $2000

Unit : Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), 11 operating rooms

Patient Ratio : 1 : 1 nurse-to-patient ratio

EMR : Meditech electronic medical records

Scrubs : Light blue, provided by facility

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Texas or compact state preferred)

Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience, including all adult open heart and open / endovascular cases

Experience with open and endovascular AAA (abdominal aortic aneurysm) surgery

Willingness to assist with Cath lab procedures such as TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)

At least 1 year of general operating room (OR) experience

Preferred : Experience in general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and neurosurgery

Trauma and vascular surgery experience is a plus

Strong adaptability to different surgical rooms and case types

Excellent teamwork, communication, and clinical support skills

CVOR RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, maintaining a 1 : 1 nurse-to-patient ratio

Assist with a variety of cardiovascular surgical procedures, including CABG, valve surgeries, aortic surgeries, TAVR, TCAR, TEVAR, EVAR, and open vascular cases

Collaborate with surgeons, surgical techs, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Operate advanced OR equipment, including robotic and endovascular technology

Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Meditech EMR

Demonstrate flexibility by working in multiple OR rooms and supporting various surgical specialties as needed

Mentor and support new graduate surgical techs or RNs as required
