Job Details

Registered Nurse position in Labor & Delivery specialty at Los Alamos Medical Center.

Facility is a 47-bed acute care facility with 300 healthcare employees.

Major healthcare provider for Northern New Mexico.

Role involves working in OB / GYN unit with 4 labor rooms and 4 postpartum rooms.

Patient population includes childbearing aged women and newborns.

Must have previous Labor & Delivery / Postpartum experience.

Patient ratios : 2-1 : 1 LDRP, 3 couplets : 1 Post Partum.

EHR systems used : OBIX, Medhost, GUI.

Focus on patient experience, teamwork, and eagerness to learn.

Job Requirements

Must have certifications required to work as a Labor & Delivery nurse in New Mexico.

Must have 1+ years of experience in Labor & Delivery / Postpartum.

Must be certified / licensed to work as L&D nurse in New Mexico.

Must have skills and experience in LDRP / PP.

Schedule Information

Shift details provided but not specified in detail.

Weekly guaranteed hours : 36.

Weekend hours : Every other weekend / as needed.

Call requirements : As needed.

Float requirements : As needed.

Additional Details

Orientation is weekly on Mondays.

Travel candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered.

All clinical staff must be fingerprinted before hire and provide documentation that check is being processed.

Travelers may start on a 14-day waiver while waiting on results but must be supervised.

Each agency needs an account with NM Department of Health for background check process.
