A proven established Real Estate Development and Property Management company in New York, NY wants to add a Senior Property Accountant to its growing team.

The ideal candidate should have robust experience with commercial property accounting, CAM recs, and MRI or Yardi. This position is 4 days onsite and 1 day remote (Fridays).

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our dynamic team. This exciting opportunity is perfect for a motivated professional who is ready to take their career to the next level in the Accounting + Finance industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all accounting and financial aspects of a portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. The role demands a high level of commitment, dedication, and an ability to work under pressure while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee all accounting functions for a portfolio of properties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Conduct monthly CAM reconciliations and prepare detailed financial analysis reports.
• Utilize Yardi software to manage and track all accounting activities efficiently.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each property.
• Coordinate with property managers and owners to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
• Continually evaluate financial performance of properties, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding property accounting.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of systems and procedures to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
