Purchasing Agent II

We seek a positive and talented individual to join our team. This position will be responsible for obtaining pricing through various procurement processes for a variety of commodities and services; researching the marketplace to identify new vendors and stay updated on pricing trends. The individual may advise on contract terms and conditions as well as policies and procedures. They will also review and sign certain contracts related to purchases.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare bid sourcing events, evaluate bid proposals, and issue purchase orders.
• Review and sign purchase related documents and contracts.
• Confer with University departments regarding requirements, specifications, and deliveries.
• Advise departments on purchasing policies and procedures and provides vendor sources.
• Review and research purchasing requests.
• May involve direct contact with vendors / suppliers.
• Analyze, review, and approve contracts.
• May train and guide technical / clerical support staff.
• Comply with and maintain knowledge of rules, legislations, regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Other special projects and duties as assigned.
