Behavior Technician / Paraeducator (Elk Grove Schools)

Salary : $600 / Week

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking multiple Behavior Technicians for K-12 schools in Elk Grove, CA. Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with students who receive special education or related services, have a 504 plan, or with students in a Special Education Classroom.

Location : Elk Grove, CA

Schedule : Monday-Friday (30-36 hours / week between the hours of 7 : 30am and 3 : 30pm)

Pay : $24 an hour

Minimum Requirements :

At least 1 year experience as a Behavior Technician or Paraeducator

Must be at least 18 years of age

High School diploma or equivalent required

Current CPR certification (we can help you sign up for a class)

Mast have access to cell phone with Wifi

Ability to effectively elicit / provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required

TB test required (if you do not have one from within the last 90 days, we can set one up for you)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Follow the instructions of the BCBA / program supervisor

Provide behavior assistance / interventions to assigned clients

Provide behavior support services

Provide crisis intervention

Implement behavior plans

Provide administrative support to teachers

Monitor child development

Prepare educational materials

Collect and analyze data on student behavior and progress

Provide academic assistance

Assist with mobility and daily activities

Offer social support and help with social skills development

Perform other duties as assigned / necessary
