Community President Position
Job Requirements : The Community President is responsible for branch sales activities and results. The Community President coordinates and manages retail employees, branch operations and activities. In addition, they maintain a leadership role within the bank, branch, and community. The duties and responsibilities for the Community President position include : working with the Regional Manager to create, monitor and maintain action plans to achieve branch goals which support WaterStone Bank's strategic objectives, budgetary controls, and profitability; maintaining a strong, visible, and positive presence in the community through involvement in community events / organizations and engaging in small business activities to promote the bank's products and services to prospective business customers; working with the Regional Manager to maintain adequate staff, ensure proper handling of employee situations; conducting interviews, hiring, monitoring employee progression, disciplining, or terminating employees when necessary; recommending promotions, salary adjustments and rewards; motivating, coaching, and developing retail staff through education, technical and sales training, constructive feedback, and performance management ensuring staff provides prompt, efficient, and accurate service according to WSB's service expectations; submitting referrals to other appropriate lines of business including Residential lending, Business Banking, Commercial Real Estate, WIS, and Merchant Services; maintaining knowledge of WSB's core processing system, WSB products and services, WSB policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements governing retail accounts; planning, coordinating, and managing branch's administrative and operational processes and workflow procedures; identifying and recommending reasonable changes to policies, procedures, and products. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for the Community President position include : experience required 3 - 5 years sales and supervisory experience, 3 - 5 years business development experience; preferred 5 years sales and supervisory experience and / or business development experience; education required - high school diploma or general education degree (GED); preferred - associate's or bachelor's degree in business or equivalent combination of education and experience or related field. Additionally, an individual must be flexible in work schedule and have the ability to travel between office locations if warranted and provide proof of insurance. A valid driver's license is required. Driving record must be in accordance with WaterStone Bank's Vehicle Safety Policy.
