JOB DESCRIPTION
The HR People Operations Coordinator is the main point of contact for employee and manager questions related to HR, payroll, and benefits. This role supports HR operations by handling system transactions, maintaining records, supporting onboarding and offboarding, and ensuring a high level of customer service and compliance.

Respond to HR-related questions via email, phone, and in-personProcess transactions in HR systems like Workday and CisiveCoordinate onboarding and offboarding, including I-9 and E-VerifyMaintain accurate employee records and ensure documentation complianceSupport employees with benefits, timekeeping, and system accessKeep HR policies and portal content up to dateReview and approve personal information changesEscalate issues to HR teams as neededProvide support for union-related HR tasks,Job postings, bidding, contract compliance, and orientationEntering union pay step increases and updates in WorkdayAssisting with union benefit and contract-related inquiriesOther
Assist with audits and compliance reviewsSupport investigations and special projectsSubmit IT and system requestsTrack employee call-outs and late arrivalsHelp coordinate temporary / contractor hiring and timekeepingAssociate’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)3+ years in HR support or administrationUnderstanding of HR practices and labor lawsStrong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skillsComfortable working independently and in a teamHigh attention to detail and ability to handle confidential informationProficiency with HR systems (e.g., Workday)
