- Customer Care Representative CS018 Application Period : 10 / 15 / 2025 – 10 / 22 / 2025 Salary Range : Grade U5 / $26.97- $34.25, starting salary : $26.97 Division – Section – Unit : Finance – Customer Service Shift and Days : 8 : 30 AM – 4 : 00 PM Location : Providence Restrictions : None Position Covered by Bargaining Unit Agreement : Yes Name of Bargaining Unit : Laborers’ International Local 1033 DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES : The Customer Service Representative is responsible for responding to questions and concerns from customers regarding accounts and providing related support.
- Answers general customer questions and concerns regarding account status, billings, payments, and other account information.
- Receives, logs, and processes a variety of forms, applications, and documents regarding accounts, statements, requests for information, and other account questions.
- Prepares forms, documents, and other statements required for account openings and closings.
- Calculates adjustments, changes, and bills for customer accounts based on operational procedures.
- Perform data entry in the updating and maintaining of customer accounts and statements.
- Follows up on delinquent and outstanding accounts and prepares documentation and basic reports.
- Performs basic office duties, such as copying, filing, faxing, typing standard documents, preparing, sorting, and distributing mail and entering data.
- Customer Service Representatives may also be assigned on a rotating basis the following duties Performing receptionist duties, such as greeting and assisting customers, and answering and directing phone calls.
- Opening, sorting, and distributing incoming mail and preparing outgoing mail and postage.
- Maintaining a variety of spreadsheets and logs and tracks statistics.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE : High school diploma, or G.E.D.Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficiently to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :
Knowledge of basic office principles, basic mathematical principles & basic customer service principles. Skill in performing basic office duties, basic mathematical calculations, providing basic customer service, operating a computer and applicable software applications, Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information.AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA) PROVISIONS :
