Job descriptionEducation : High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required Certification : CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required. Experience : One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience. Position Highlights :
Position : Medical Assistant
Location : Northfield, IL
Full Time / Part Time : Full Time
Hours : 6 : 30am-7 : 00pm Required Travel : Travel to other sites required
What You Will Do :
- Greet patients and escort them to exam room
- Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
- Provide front office support as needed
- Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
- Phlebotomy and injections may be required
