Job Description
A leading community-based medical center in Brooklyn is currently seeking a Director of Hematology and Medical Oncology to lead its growing cancer care program. This is a full-time leadership opportunity for a board-certified physician looking to shape strategic, patient-centered cancer services.
Responsibilities :
- Creating and executing a strategic vision for regional cancer care services, including clinical care, patient experience, and financial goals
- Leading and overseeing a patient-focused, multidisciplinary oncology program
- Expanding oncology services and access to care for the community
- Driving interdepartmental collaboration across clinical disciplines
- Diagnosing and managing disorders of the blood, bone marrow, vascular, and immune systems
- Supporting clinical research and programmatic development initiatives
Qualifications :
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a community cancer centerM.D. or M.D. / Ph.D. from an accredited medical schoolBoard Certification in both Hematology and Medical OncologyExpertise in either hematologic malignancies or solid tumorsProven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster collaborationStrong organizational, communication, and program development skillsExperience in process improvement and stakeholder alignmentCommitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care
