BLS, NRP are required.

Description :

Travel RN position in Labor and Delivery.

The unit has 19 patient rooms, 6 PACU rooms, and 6 triage rooms.

There are 3 Labor and Delivery ORs.

Staff matrix is 8-10 for night shift.

Day shift typically includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1-3 sitters.

Night shift typically includes 1 charge nurse and 7-9 RNs, along with 1 CST.

Patient ratios are 2 : 1, with 1 : 1 for complicated cases.

Equipment used includes FHR monitors and fetal scalp electrodes.

EMR systems in use are CPN and Meditech.

The role involves vaginal deliveries and c-section deliveries.

Nursing care is provided through the nursing process : assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

The RN is responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for labor and delivery patients, postpartum patients, and high-risk antepartum patients.

Candidates with experience in Mom / Baby, Peds, and / or NICU are preferred.
