Irvington Roots and Wings is a small child care ministry of Irvington Presbyterian Church (IPC) in historic Irvington. It is registered with Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) - Office of Early Childhood and Out of School Learning and the Indiana Department of Homeland Security. We provide full time, year-round care and education for up to 14 children ranging in age from 6 weeks to Pre-K with scheduled hours of 7 : 30-5 : 30.
Our mission is to reframe child care in the context of life-long education of the mind, body, heart and soul encouraging and inspiring the healthy development of children and families. It is also to seek to understand that God’s love knows no limit, whose grace makes room for all.
Our culture is understanding how we impact each other, our school, our families, neighborhood and community. We strive to help children ultimately be successful in elementary school and beyond by being good learners and good friends.
We are looking for a passionate and caring individual to join our small teaching staff. This role will primarily be responsible for infant care, but as we are a multi-age environment expect to spend time with toddlers as well.
