Job description

Supply / Materials Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated Supply / Materials Coordinator to join the materials management department of a healthcare system located in Charleston, SC. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient processing and delivery of orders within the hospital environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the on-site processing, inventory, and delivery of all orders.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, co-team leaders, stock clerks, and the management team.
  • Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and comprehensive job knowledge.
  • Prepare the schedule for on-site operations.
  • Attend in-service presentations and complete mandatory education week.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of occurrence reporting system and utilize the system to report potential patient safety issues.
  • Process all lost charge reports and resolve discrepancies.
  • Order materials as inventory levels change.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with supply chain, purchasing, order entry, or ERP software in a fast-paced environment.
  • Management experience, specifically overseeing 10-12 supply techs and handling an hourly workforce.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work professionally with doctors and hospital executives.
  • On-call mentality to address hospital needs.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of management experience.
  • Experience in a healthcare or hospital system preferred.
  • Strong personality and capability to hold their own in challenging situations.

    Work Environment

    This is a permanent position based out of Charleston, South Carolina.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58000.00 / yr. State Health Insurance, Pension Plan, Retirement plan.

    Workplace Type

    This is a fully onsite position in Charleston, SC.
