Job description :

R. Sabee is a family-owned manufacturing facility in the Fox Valley established in 1951 by Reinhardt Sabee. We are committed to producing industry leading pet, home, and medical absorbent products.

  • Monday through Friday
  • Core Hours 8 AM - 4 PM

The Process Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of duties related troubleshooting machine issues, designing equipment, and project management. The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task troubleshooting current issues, while developing improvement and sustainability plans. This position also requires a basic understanding of electrical drives and PLC program.

We are looking for a positive, highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well both in a team and individually.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoot highspeed converting equipment issues (process, mechanical, and electrical).
  • Be hands on to help fix issues with mechanics and other engineers.
  • Analyze production downtime data to determine top issues.
  • Analyze highspeed camera video footage to diagnose issues.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively complete tasks individually as well as in a cross-function team environment
  • Computer design proficiency : Knowledge in Autocad
  • Recommend improved processes, procedures, equipment, and materials which will enhance the efficiency of manufacture and quality of products.
  • Assist R&D in the development and scale-up of new products.
  • As required, establish working relationships with outside personnel to meet project objectives.
  • Review proposals of outside vendors regarding the purchase of new or modernization of existing production / processing equipment.
  • Develop, implement, and communicate work instructions, procedures and other documentation as necessary to support work responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 or more years of relevant industry experience
